  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough sheet
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (for sauce)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley or green onions

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Scramble the eggs in another pan until just set; season lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. On a floured surface, unroll the crescent dough and flatten it. Layer scrambled eggs, sausage, and shredded cheese on top.
  4. Roll up from one long side and slice into 1-inch rounds. Place cut-side up in a greased baking dish.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. For the cheese sauce, melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, then gradually add milk until thickened. Stir in cheese until melted.
