2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup dry white apple vinegar or chicken broth
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons capers, rinsed and drained
1 teaspoon lemon zest
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
In a medium skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter and 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until melted.
Add 2 minced garlic cloves and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
Pour in 1/4 cup of dry white apple vinegar or chicken broth and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
Stir in 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of rinsed capers, and 1 teaspoon of lemon zest. Season with salt and black pepper to taste; cook for another 1–2 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley if desired.
