  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 cup whole or 2% milk (warmed to 110°F)
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • 1 beaten egg (for brushing the tops)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for topping)
  • Flaky sea salt (for finishing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Lightly butter a 9×13 baking pan.
  2. In a small pot, melt butter over low heat. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant; set aside to cool.

  4. Add warmed milk, egg, and cooled garlic butter to dry ingredients. Knead on low speed until smooth (about 10-12 minutes).
  5. Divide dough into 12 equal pieces and shape into balls; place in the prepared pan.
  6. Cover and let rise until doubled in size (1-2 hours).
  7. Brush tops with beaten egg wash before baking for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Prepare garlic butter topping by melting additional butter with garlic and parsley; brush over warm rolls.
