  • 26 ounces frozen beef meatballs
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 ounce package brown gravy mix
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon white apple vinegar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1½ cups grated gruyere cheese

Instructions

  1. Place sliced onions at the bottom of your crock pot.
  2. Layer frozen beef meatballs over the onions.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine beef broth, gravy mix, garlic, black pepper, thyme, and vinegar; whisk until smooth. Pour over meatballs.
  4. Cover and cook on high for 2½ to 3½ hours or low for 5 to 6 hours.
  5. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water; pour this mixture into the crock pot and stir gently.
  6. Top with grated gruyere cheese and cook for an additional ten minutes until melted.
  7. Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or enjoy as is.
