  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For Topping: 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter with granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time to the butter mixture and mix well after each addition. Stir in milk and vanilla until combined.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Pour half the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar topping over it. Layer with remaining batter and top with remaining topping.
  7. Gently swirl through the batter with a knife for a marbled effect.
  8. Bake for about 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
