  • 1 (20 ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage (chopped)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot and cook the tortellini according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. While the tortellini cooks, chop the fresh sage and slice the mushrooms.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter with olive oil. Add chopped sage and cook for about one minute until crispy; set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic along with another tablespoon of butter. Sauté for approximately 5 minutes until browned.
  5. Drain the tortellini and add it to the skillet with remaining butter, parmesan cheese, and crispy sage. Toss to coat evenly, season with salt and pepper, and serve immediately.
